Privacy Policy
Precue reads your calendar and inbox to prepare you for meetings. That is personal information, so this page explains exactly what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and how to delete it. Plain words, no tricks.
The short version
- Read only access. Precue can read your calendar and email. It can never send, delete or change anything.
- Your data is never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
- We store short brief snippets, not your full inbox.
- No bot joins your calls and nothing is recorded.
- We never sell your data.
- You can delete everything at any time.
Who we are
This policy is from Precue (“Precue,” “we,” “us”). Questions about privacy go to hello@precue.io.
This policy covers our website (precue.io), the early access waitlist, and the Precue app once your account is active.
What we collect on the website
Waitlist answers. If you join the waitlist, we collect your email address and your answers to a few short questions: your role, how many meetings you have in a week, which calendar you use, which feature you would use first, and, only if you choose to answer, your age range and gender. These answers stay in your browser until you submit your email. If you close the form without joining, nothing is sent to us.
Usage data. To understand how the page performs, we record which pages and sections are viewed and which buttons are clicked, along with a random visitor ID stored in your browser, the page that referred you, campaign tags in the link (such as UTM parameters or an ad click ID), and basic device and browser information.
Technical data. Our hosting provider processes your IP address to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use your browser's local storage to remember your visitor ID, your place in the waitlist form, and whether you already joined. If we turn on advertising or analytics tools (for example the Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or Cloudflare Web Analytics) to measure our ads, those tools may set their own cookies, and we will list them here when they are active. You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings at any time.
What the Precue app accesses
When you connect Google or Microsoft, you sign in with that provider and choose to grant Precue read only access. We use that access only to prepare your meetings:
- Calendar: event titles, times, locations, video links and the people invited.
- Email: recent messages between you and the people you are meeting, so a brief can tell you what you last discussed, what changed and anything that needs your attention.
- Public information: for people you have not met before, we look up public sources such as company websites, news and professional profiles. Every fact in a brief links to where it came from.
- Rehearse audio: if you use Rehearse, your voice is processed to run the practice session and then discarded, unless you choose to save a clip.
We never read email unrelated to your meetings for any other purpose, we never send email on your behalf, and we never join or record your calls.
How we use your information
- To send your early access invite and important product updates.
- To create your meeting briefs, audio briefs and practice sessions.
- To understand what to build next and to improve the product.
- To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- To meet legal obligations.
We do not use your calendar or email data for advertising, and we do not sell it.
AI processing
Precue uses AI models to write your briefs. The relevant calendar and email content is sent to our AI provider only to generate your brief. Our providers are contractually prohibited from using your data to train their models, and we never use your data to train any model.
Google user data
Precue's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not allow humans to read your Google data unless you give us permission (for example, to help with a support request), it is needed for security, or the law requires it.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Precue, under contracts that limit how they can use it:
- Cloudflare, for website hosting, security and our database.
- Our email provider, to send invites and product emails.
- Our AI model providers, to generate briefs.
- Analytics and advertising partners, only if those tools are turned on as described above.
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of the business, in which case this policy will continue to protect your data.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist data: until you ask us to delete it, or until we close the waitlist.
- Meeting briefs: we keep short snippets only as long as needed to show you your briefs. We do not store full copies of your inbox.
- Disconnecting: when you disconnect Google or Microsoft or delete your account, we stop accessing your data right away and delete what we stored within 30 days, including from backups.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete your personal information at any time by emailing hello@precue.io. You can unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any email. You can remove Precue's access at any time from your Google or Microsoft account settings. Depending on where you live, including California and the European Union, you may have additional rights, and we will honor them. We respond to requests within 30 days.
Security
We encrypt data in transit and at rest, limit access to the people who need it, and request the narrowest permissions that let Precue work. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will tell you promptly.
Children
Precue is built for working professionals and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, if you have joined, let you know by email before the changes take effect.
